Question and answer taken from Hypergraph Hour 45:

  • The way the sensor works is that it can determine when someone walks in and walks out, but will be more accurate in a certain direction.
  • As the DTM uses thermal, the weather conditions will have an impact on whether its more accurate to count in or out.
  • The DTMs algorithm can dynamically look at the local weather in the area and give you the most accurate direction to count visitors.
  • The Datapreneur can choose to use this feature or to count both directions of traffic (which will work better in an indoor environment).
