Question and answer taken from Hypergraph Hour 45:

  • It actually can see multiple people at the same time
  • A data set was created previously over the course of three years, a camera and thermal footage were both used.
  • People labelled the images and used them to train a neural net, which runs on the device.
  • By the end of the training and all that data, Dôr found out that the algorithm is actually more effective at tracking people than what humans can.
  • That is how the DTM gets its high accuracy
  • 4 or 5 is the max it can track and if people are stationary in a queue, it will encounter issues.
